About Jason

Jason Lewin is an American saxophonist and educator currently studying and instructing at the University of North Texas (UNT). Jason has always had a fascination with music technology, and strives to learn as much as he can about new recording products.

The idea for self produced high quality video recordings and JL Recording Services came to Jason after he had the unfortunate mishap of an important performance not being recorded. All the hard work and effort put into the preparation and execution of a performance is one of the most difficult aspects of being a musician, and having found out his presentation did not get recorded was devastating. Jason did not let this unlucky turn of events deter him, but instead used it as a chance for growth, and the opportunity to learn.

Jason holds close the idea that it is never too early to start preparing for a professional future, and that garnering a diverse range of abilities across multiple disciplines is the most valuable way to create a well rounded and unique skill set. With his new venture in JL Recording Services, Jason is excited to further expand his knowledge of video and audio recording, and has aspirations of growing his business into a household for musicians in the North Texas area.
